Summary:

In this role, you will be driving the direction of research and develop novel techniques for building and optimizing highly efficient foundational models for on-device applications, pushing the state of the art.

Required Skills:

Visiting Scientist – Reality Labs, Core AI (Technical Leadership) Responsibilities:

  1. Innovate on model compression and inference acceleration techniques for LLMs

  2. Contribute to research publications and publish at top-tier venues

  3. Provide leadership to the engineering teams delivering Assistant experiences on AR and VR devices

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. A PhD in deep learning with applications to computer vision, NLP and model optimization

  3. Understanding of modern ML concepts like LLMs, diffusion models, grounded vision-language models, Multimodal LLMs, model quantization

  4. First author publications in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, ICML, CVPR…)

  5. Fluency in Python and PyTorch

  2. Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or product releases.

  3. Top-tier publications on efficient foundational model architectures and model optimization (LLMs, MM-LLMs, Diffusion models, quantization, model compression, distillation etc)

$213,000/year to $293,000/year + benefits
