Job Description

Mission Technologies provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide. Mission Technologies is currently seeking an SSDS and AEGIS Integrated Naval Combat Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an exciting engineering contract supporting the development of US Navy (USN) shore-based integrated training systems. This position will be onsite, based at Dam Neck in Virginia Beach, VA. The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Essential Job Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

• Apply extensive technical expertise and have full knowledge of other related disciplines.

• Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

• Develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

• Activities include Interface Working Groups, Interface Control Working Groups, and Product Line data model working groups.

• Describe the system in terms of the user needs it will fulfill, its relationship to existing systems or procedures, and the ways it will be used.

• Must possess an active or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

• All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per Mission Technologies requirements.

• The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• This position is onsite at Dam Neck in Virginia Beach, VA

Minimum Qualifications

2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience working with DoD customers, projects, and processes

• Demonstrated Experience in one or more of the following Naval System areas:

o AEGIS

o SSDS
