Summary:

The HEART AI Applications Engineering team is seeking an AI Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have industry experience working on AI infrastructure related topics. The position will involve taking these skills and applying them to solve some of the most crucial and exciting problems that exist on the web.

Required Skills:

Software – Systems ML Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Apply in depth knowledge of AI infrastructure and hardware acceleration techniques to build and optimize our intelligent machine learning systems that improve Meta’s product and experiences

  2. Goal setting related to project impact, AI system design, and infrastructure efficiency

  3. Directly or influencing partners to deliver impact through deep, thorough data-driven analysis

  4. Drive large efforts across multiple teams

  5. Define use cases, and develop methodology & benchmarks to evaluate different approaches

  6. Apply in depth knowledge of how the ML infra interacts with the other systems around it

  7. Mentor other engineers / research scientists & improve the quality of engineering work in the broader team

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field

  2. Specialized experience in one or more of the following AI/deep learning domains: AI infrastructure, hardware accelerators, high performance computing, ML compilers, performance optimizations, GPU architecture, on-device optimization, ML frameworks (PyTorch), HW/SW co-design and numerics

  3. Experience developing AI algorithms in C/C++ or Python for large-scale AI applications

  1. Master’s degree/PhD in computer science or related STEM field and strong experience in AI development or accelerating deep learning models on AI accelerators

  2. Experience with distributed heterogeneous systems or on-device algorithm development

  3. Expertise in AI hardware accelerator architectures

  4. Experience with recommender and ranking models

  5. Experience in accelerating large AI models across multiple compute nodes

  6. Proven technical leadership experience
