We are part of Customer Success Engineering (CSE) focused on the Small & Medium Business (SMB) segment of E+D Modern Work. Our mission is to drive Affinity, Awareness and Acquisition of new SMB customers, Upgrade, Expand and Retain existing SMB customers, Lead the AI and Copilot wave using world-class engineering practices. Our work spans Modern Work (Productivity) as well as Identity, Security and Compliance. We build solutions that accelerate Cloud Adoption, Tenant Migration, Tenant Health in collaboration with teams across E+D. We are looking to hire a Software Engineer II to join our team!

We build Customer Lifecycle and Multi-Tenant Management experiences in Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Microsoft 365 Lighthouse for SMB Customers and their Partners, aka Managed Service Providers (MSPs)

We integrate and aggregate business and operational data pertaining to Users and their Devices from a multitude of Modern Work services, leverage ML and AI to generate Actionable Insights and Recommendations. We enable Standardization and Automation so Partners can scale to managing hundreds of Microsoft 365 tenants through a single pane of glass.

Responsibilities

  • Drive clarity of user requirements through direct engagement with customers and/or in collaboration with product and program managers.

  • Develop high quality code, automate tests, debug and troubleshoot live-site incidents.

  • Identify gaps and improve engineering processes.

  • Evangelize best practices for engineering excellence.

  • Contribute to design and code reviews.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Development experience using UI frameworks – React, Angular or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

  • OR related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Prior experience developing scalable and performant cloud services.

  • Development experience using UI frameworks – React, Angular or equivalent.

  • Experience with Microsoft .NET or equivalent.

  • Agile development methodologies.

  • Tests automation frameworks.

Software Engineering IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 – $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 – $208,800 per year.
