As the Principal Product Manager for Innography AI & Simulation, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and expanding an AI-driven simulation solution for Innography, which is Clarivate’s leading patent analytics suite for IP strategists and patent portfolio decision-makers.

You’ll be a key member of the broader Patent Intelligence, Search, and Analytics product team, working together to enhance Clarivate’s offerings for corporations, law firms, and government patent offices. Your role will involve growing these solutions to help clients effectively develop, protect, and invest in their intellectual property.

To succeed in this role, you should have a knack for engaging with senior IP leaders and customers, significant experience in scaling analytical software solutions, and a relentless drive to push progress on behalf of both customers and the business.

Given the strategic importance of this role, you will report directly to the VP of Patent Intelligence, Search, and Analytics. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Innography product team and lead a dedicated technology squad to deliver exceptional value to Innography’s clients.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor’s degree in data science, engineering, computer science, business, finance, economics, analytics, law or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
10+ years in Product Management demonstrating increasing levels of accountability and impact
7+ years working on B2B SaaS solutions
7+ years working on analytics, AI, or ML solutions

It would be great if you also had . . .

MBA or related
Experience working with Intellectual Property (IP); i.e. patents and/or trademarks
Experiencing developing or supporting software for legal or IP professionals
Expert knowledge of Tableau, SQL, Python, and PowerBI (or similar analytics tools)

What will you be doing in this role?

Create compelling visions and directions for a product

Set a vision and north star outcome for the IP strategy use cases and problems that you will solve
Align with buyer and customer needs to set the Innography AI & Simulation product strategy
Drive the setting of product objectives, OKRs, and KPIs that align with customer value
Chart roadmaps towards the next horizon of the product

Execute product discovery and development towards an outcome
Nurture deep customer engagements and relationships to draw out market problems and validate your solutions interactively
Partner with consulting or services businesses to source new ideas, refine user requirements, test prototypes, and automate manual tasks via your solutions
Lead rapid experimentation and data-gathering to address risky assumptions in discovery
Lead rapid MVP build and iteration towards achieving product-market fit and scaled growth
Refine and iterate on features and solutions constantly, leveraging customer and community feedback throughout
Prioritize a roadmap of epics to represent the best possible opportunities to solve strategic objectives for customers and drive KPI targets
Manage a prioritized backlog of tickets to define the squad’s development activities, including writing user story tickets with acceptance criteria, logging bug tickets, and grooming and planning tickets with the squad as part of sprint cycles
Provide context and clarification to the squad as tickets are groomed, executed, tested, and accepted
Share key user stories and efforts in development with relevant GTM and customer support teams to help them communicate and drive adoption of new enhancements to customer community
Share and celebrate key customer and product milestones with all cross-functional partners

Lead and partner with a multi-functional squad

Engage with a multi-functional squad to identify hypothetical solutions and bring forward constraints related to value, experience, feasibility, and viability.
Drive team-building efforts for the quad to increase levels of trust and communication
Establish with the squad a strong chemistry and cadence for development, cognizant of the business goals and the team’s strengths
Forge a strong relationship with the tech and UX leaders on the squad to jointly steer the squad towards continuous improvement and success

Achieve commercial goals

Set and achieve commercial growth targets
Position new solutions and features for go-to-market impact in partnership with product marketing and revenue teams
Join sales calls and thought leadership opportunities to represent the strategy and direction of the product

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
