Job Description

This role is remote-based, and candidates should live within the United States.

As a Digital Thought Leader Liaison (Digital TLL) specializing in Hematology, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic direction through digital insight gathering and engagement with external experts. Unlike traditional TLL roles, this position will heavily emphasize digital engagement strategies and real-time insights gathering. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to align on Digital Opinion Leaders (DOLs), hybrid Key Opinion Leader/DOL strategies, and sentiment tracking. This role will evolve over time, transitioning from initial digital strategy implementation to further development and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

All for One AbbVie (and Partner):

  • Create a seamless regional communication plan with product collaboration partners to assure a coordinated approach to collaboration product-specific digital opinion leaders (DOL) and hybrid DOL/KOLs requests, including coordination of engagement with cross-functional teams (HEOR, P2P, brand, etc) and consultancy availability to marketing and field representatives.

  • Collaborate traditionally with internal cross-functional partners including sales, marketing, medical affairs, legal, compliance

  • Build out new cross-functional working digital group including MABI, Omnichannel partners, digital lab, BTS, social media team to understand digital opinion leader landscape

  • Ability to work remotely and effectively manage time while traveling

Agile and Accountable:

  • Develop, implement and maintain accountability for interactions and feedback with national oncology external experts (physician and nurse hybrid thought leaders and digital opinion leaders across the US.

  • Prioritize engagements with external experts to assist with key market insights to help brand strategy development.

  • Ensure external expert perspectives are shared and considered consistently across leadership and the Integrated Brand Teams

  • Manage planning and execution of marketing consultancy arrangements

Decide, Smart, and Sure:

  • Manage large digital datasets compliantly using Abbvie AI and data analytics tools including prompt engineering

  • Design, review and monitor optimal approaches for data quality assessment, applying extensive knowledge for potential issues such as missing values, duplicates, inconsistent formats, and the implications of those for the data & insights process

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

  • Engage in congress related engagement activities nationally, including supporting and executing any ongoing TL strategies and tactics

Clear and Courageous:

  • Foster collaboration with digital collaboration partners

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives

  • Conduct comprehensive user testing as the data and insights tool capabilities evolve, ensuring seamless alignment with business needs.

Make Possibilities Real:

  • Measure digital insights from top hybrid KOLs and DOLs using social listening tactics. Must be able to build and foster collaboration with collaboration partners

  • Translate business requirements into data analytics design, and spearhead end-to-end insights solutions development delivery

  • Execute digital advisory boards for DOL and hybrid leaders to gain insight to insights on how to use digital space to gain disease state insights

  • Develop 2.0 version of role: develop abbvie commercial twitter for DOL engagements in the digital space and manage entire channel

  • Participate as needed in cross-functional or other project teams and/or supporting the Marketing Team and overall franchise 

  • Must continually identify and develop TLs, to consistently build our TL base for the franchise and the brands.

  • Partnering with Director, TLLs to develop, refine, execute and the Digital Thought Leader Engagement strategy

  • Create regional strategies with cross-functional partners

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Health care certification/qualification (e.g. RN, RPh, other) is preferred

  • Expert with AI/ML including but not limited to ChatGPT, AbbvieAI, Claude.AI, and prompt engineering required

  • Previous extensive hematology / oncology experience required with demonstrated experience in academic settings

  • At least 2 years’ previous direct experience with hematology thought leaders (physician and nurse) with demonstrated access to academic and key institutions

  • Ability to provide at least 5 external expert recommendations

  • Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, collaboration and data discussion skill sets

  • Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding qualitative and /or quantitative goals

  • Proven & thorough knowledge of commercial issues associated with highly competitive hematology / oncology therapeutic areas is preferred

  • Business travel, by air or car, is regularly required up to 25-50% of the time

Preferred

  • 5 or more years’ work experience required in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, specifically in hematology and oncology

  • A minimum of 2 years’ previous field management experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

  • Healthcare degree (RN, PA, NP, PharmD)

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
