JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Biomedical Engineering
at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks to fill a tenure-track
position at any level in the area of artificial intelligence/machine
learning driven computational approaches in the design and application
of tissue engineered “biomimetic twins”, i.e. novel models of human
organ function or dysfunction that would accurately predict the
influence of external factors. Additionally, a candidate whose research
in this field complements the department’s existing strengths in Tissue
Engineering, Cellular Engineering, Neuroengineering, Biomechanics,
Biomedical Imaging and Optics, and Medical Micro technologies would be
of particular interest. The candidate’s research should have clear
implications for improving human health. The ideal candidate will be
interested in collaborative work with existing centers and faculty in
the Department of Biomedical Engineering and throughout campus. The
Department of Biomedical Engineering advances the mission of the College

in AI/ML driven tissue engineering approaches; teaching and developing
undergraduate and graduate courses in Biomedical Engineering, to foster

students, and supervising their research; participating in departmental
and university faculty governance; participating in outreach and service
in industry and government; and contributing to professional and public
