Job Purpose

Help us build intuitive AI solutions that delight our users and help them solve real-world problems. Use your top-notch AI, ML, and visualization skills to innovate with us and create the next generation of industrial AI enabled products.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) team works with teams across the business to promote AI and develop AI content. This position will be a member of the AI team who works with UX designers, data scientists, system developers and product managers to investigate and prototype AI-driven solutions for customer problems.

Description

This role is responsible for assisting in the rapid prototyping and development of AI solutions and the evaluation of how well those solutions can be applied to a wide variety of real-world, industrial problems. Activities include working with stakeholders to understand and refine requirements, get access to data, and provide feedback on prototype solutions. Developers in this role will create rapid protypes and demonstrations by stubbing or simulating supporting services as required.

We’re looking for:

  • Self-motivated individuals with a passion for creating software

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or PhD program

  • Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Engineering, or related field

  • GPA 3.00 or above

  • Intern applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. AVEVA is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas.

  • Software development experience in one or more modern programming languages (C++, C#, HTML/JavaScript, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Preferred Requirements:

The team is currently supporting a wide variety of work, such as future value prediction, optimization, anomaly detection, information inference, and computer vision, which this role will help support. Depending on the project, experience in these different areas will be important for day-to-day prototyping.

An ideal candidate has a demonstrated enthusiasm in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Additionally, the candidate should have some experience through class work, projects, or individual learning in one or more of these topics:

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to learn AI

  • Statistics and / or linear algebra

  • Machine learning concepts/ courses (training, cleaning, data bias, class imbalance, etc.)

  • Computer vision concepts (CNN, filters, object detection, etc.)

  • Data visualization

  • Automated testing and evaluation

  • Python / Jupyter Notebooks

  • Common ML packages (scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, etc.)

  • Common image processing packages (opencv2, etc.)

  • .NET

Salary Range:

$36,000.00 – $110,000.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
